Is collecting blood at home painful?
A finger-prick is quick and usually only mildly uncomfortable. It involves pricking the fingertip with a special lancet similar to those diabetics use daily to measure blood glucose.
What if I can’t collect enough blood during my at-home sample collection?
The sample cannot be analyzed and you will need to repeat the collection. Email us at [email protected] and we will gladly advise you on next steps or a replacement collection by a nurse.
How soon after the at-home collection do I need to send the blood sample to the lab?
Send the sample as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours, and keep it refrigerated until then. Send it with the prepaid DHL label and avoid shipping on Fridays or before public holidays. The customer is responsible for any degradation caused by d
