For safety and regulatory reasons, the provider is entitled to refuse to perform the scan in the following cases:
Pregnancy: Due to the use of ionizing radiation, the scan cannot be performed during pregnancy.
Weight Limit: If you exceed the maximum weight supported by the specific DEXA device at the selected facility.
Identity Verification: If it is not possible to properly verify your identity at the location.
Failure to Meet Conditions: If basic operational or safety requirements of the facility are not met (e.g., metal implants or objects that would conflict with the safety guidelines of the specific equipment).
