Sample Registration in the App

Download the mobile application Macromo from the App Store or Google Play. After downloading, create a user account. Register your sample by scanning the barcode on the collection tube using the scanner in the Health Data section of the app.

Preparation for Sample Collection

On the day before sample collection, ensure you stay hydrated. Before collecting the sample, warm up to promote blood flow. We recommend soaking your hand in warm water, taking a warm shower, or lightly exercising. Once ready for the test, remove the cap from both tubes and place them upright in the cardboard holder. Wash your hands with soap and warm water and dry thoroughly. Then, twist and remove the cover from the lancet. Use the provided alcohol swab to sterilize the chosen finger. Make sure you have everything you need nearby.

Sample Collection

For finger prick, place your hand on a flat surface and firmly press the lancet into the fingertip. Avoid getting too close to the nail. Keep your hand straight and massage it downward. It is recommended to stand during sample collection. If the blood flow stops, use another lancet to prick a different finger. Collecting one drop of blood may take several minutes. Fill both collection tubes up to the top line and firmly press the cap down until it clicks. Turn the tubes upside down about five times.

Sending the Sample

Make sure that you have registered the sample in the app. Fill out the laboratory card and place it along with the blood sample tubes in a plastic bag, then into the black cardboard box. You can find the bag under the cardboard insert. Information for sending the box can be found in the Macromo mobile app and in the email you used for your user account.

Do not prick the same spot twice. The lancet pen includes a sterile cap and is for single use only. Safely dispose of the lancet pen after use. Do not use this product if you are taking medication that affects blood clotting. Keep out of reach of children.
